Marco Sanginiti

President

Marco Sanginiti is a seasoned rugby leader, strategist, and passionate advocate for the sport. As the President of the Vaughan Yeomen, Marco has played a pivotal role in guiding the organization to new heights of success both on and off the field. Under his leadership, the club has flourished, achieving remarkable growth in player development, community engagement, and overall performance.

A dedicated player in his early years, Marco’s career in rugby began as a promising young athlete in the Vaughan rugby community. His commitment to the sport, combined with his leadership qualities, soon saw him transition from player to administrative roles. Through these experiences, Marco developed a deep understanding of the complexities of running a successful rugby club and fostering a strong, competitive, and inclusive team culture.

Since taking on the role of President, Marco has been instrumental in securing sponsorships, boosting club morale, and increasing participation at all levels, from youth programs to the senior team. He has worked closely with coaches, players, and volunteers to build a cohesive environment where every individual is supported and valued.

David D’Ammizio

Vice President

Dave brings extensive experience in skill development, coaching players from beginner levels to the NHL. His coaching career began with the Toronto Marlboros and continued with the Vaughan Kings, Stouffville Spirit, and Junior Canadians, achieving GTHL and Provincial Championships and mentoring players who earned scholarships and were drafted.

Dave has also worked with NHL players at the BioSteel Hockey Camp and has been head coach for the Toronto Bulldogs at the prestigious Edmonton Brick tournament, winning five times over the past decade.

A long-time rugby club member and former player, Dave’s coaching expertise will help the club grow and thrive. Known for his hands-on approach and dynamic personality, he trains players of all ages and skill levels. His focus extends beyond technical skills, emphasizing leadership, teamwork, nutrition, strength training, and mental resilience. Dave’s unique blend of rugby and hockey experience will be key to the club’s success and continued growth.

Paolina Spremulli

Treasurer

Paolina Spremulli is the Treasurer of the Vaughan Yeomen Rugby Club, where she plays a crucial role in managing the club’s finances and ensuring its continued success. With a strong background in finance and a deep commitment to the rugby community, Paolina brings a detail-oriented approach to overseeing the club’s financial health and budgeting.

As Treasurer, Paolina is responsible for tracking revenues and expenses, preparing financial reports, and working closely with the board to allocate resources effectively. Her financial expertise and organizational skills have been vital in securing the club’s sustainability, enabling the Vaughan Yeomen to focus on growth and development, both on and off the field.

Everest Bezati

Everest Bezati is a dedicated and valued member of our club, with a long-standing commitment to both the sport and the community. As a current rugby player, Everest brings his passion for the game and his leadership skills to every match.

Off the field, he has been an integral part of the club’s operations, serving as secretary for several years. His dedication to the administrative side ensures smooth running of the club, and his willingness to lend a hand wherever needed reflects his strong sense of teamwork and commitment to the club’s success. Everest’s contributions, both on and off the field, have made him an essential part of the club’s legacy.

Steven Pichelli

Junior Director

Steven Pichelli has been a member of the club since 2009, bringing with him years of experience and a deep passion for the sport. Throughout his time with the club, Steve has not only developed strong rugby skills but has also built lasting friendships and cultivated invaluable character traits, all of which have shaped his journey both on and off the field.

As Junior Director, Steve is committed to helping nurture the next generation of rugby players, ensuring they have the same opportunities to grow and thrive within the club. He looks forward to every club event and game, eager to be part of the excitement and camaraderie that make Yeomen Rugby special.

Steve’s goal is to pass on the lessons and experiences he’s gained to the younger players, fostering a supportive environment where they can develop their athletic skills while also building lifelong friendships and strong character.

Social Director

Anthony Fischetti is a key player and Social Director at the Vaughan Yeomen. Known for his fast pace on the field and his charismatic leadership off it, Anthony plays a vital role in both the team’s performance and the club’s community engagement. As a dedicated player, he contributes invaluable skill and experience, supporting his team both as a formidable presence on the field and as a mentor to younger players.

In addition to his playing role, Anthony serves as the club’s Social Director, where he is responsible for organizing events and fostering a strong sense of camaraderie among players, coaches, and supporters. His passion for creating a welcoming and vibrant club culture has been instrumental in building lasting relationships and increasing the club’s visibility within the local community.

Andrew Aninchini is a highly dedicated player for the men’s team and a longstanding member of our club. Over the years, he has earned multiple MVP awards, recognizing his exceptional performance and commitment on the field. Andrew has also represented the club at the provincial level, further showcasing his skill and passion for the game.

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Andrew has served as club captain for many years, providing leadership and guiding the team with his experience and passion. He has also been a valued volunteer, serving as a member-at-large for many years. His contributions both on and off the field have played a significant role in the club’s success and growth. Andrew’s ongoing dedication to both the sport and the community makes him an integral part of the team and the club as a whole.
